Management & Board
Michael Broadfoot, Chairman & CEOMike Broadfoot's business interests are focused on the development of early stage companies in a variety of industry sectors, and he has been part of the InnerVision team since mid 2003. Mike's 20-year employment career was primarily in the energy marketing and trading industry. He retired from the merchant energy business and his then current position as President and CEO of Engage Energy, in mid 2002, shortly after the sale of Engage to a US based energy conglomerate. Mike was one of the founders of a predecessor to Calgary based Engage, and led the evolution of that group from a start-up through to its mature status as one of the major energy trading and marketing firms in North America. Past Directorships include: Peyto Exploration and Development, a TSX listed company which Mike was a co-founder of in 1998, and a Director of until mid 2003, and which held the distinction of being the most successful publicly traded company in Canada over that five year period of time (from a return on investment perspective); Stormworks Ltd. a privately held e-business services company that was acquired by Solium; Union Gas, the Ontario natural gas utility; and Encore Energy a joint venture between Engage and EPCOR, the Edmonton based power and water utility. Tim J. Davies, Founder and Chief Science OfficerTim Davies founded InnerVision in mid-2002 and has led the scientific innovation of InnerVision's proprietary technology since its inception. Over the past 20 years Tim has been involved in the design and creation of state-of-the-art sonar technology and the many applications of that science. Tim has held senior positions in advanced sonar R&D for applications in the sub-sea and defense sectors, with Lockheed Missile and Aerospace, Royal Ordinance UK PLC; and for a short period of time in the early 1990s, Tim applied his acoustic expertise in the development of medical imaging (that endeavor was truncated, as the cost of super computing was too expensive for commercial viability). He holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Calgary with majors in Applied Mathematics and Non-Linear Dynamic Systems. Tim is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the Society of Molecular Imaging, and the Association of Ultrasound and Medicine.
