The Opportunity

In the multi-billion dollar biomedical imaging market, there is an ongoing race to develop a new standard of imaging technology capable of even earlier disease detection, which is affordable to implement, comfortable for patients, and delivers diagnostic images and data in a timely manner.

A major opportunity exists for a break-though imaging technology in the following fields:

1)  Mass screening for the early detection of breast and prostate cancer,
2)  Pharmaceutical research and development.

The pharmaceutical industry makes significant investment in technology that diagnoses a medical condition sooner or shortens the approval process, resulting in the use of their drugs sooner and in turn more effective patient treatment; or otherwise reduces cost.

InnerVision is striving to develop and commercialize just such a technology.

The Current Technology Gap

Mature imaging players in the biomedical market have self diagnosed the weaknesses of mammography x-rays in terms of reliability of resolution for disease detection and patient comfort and acceptance. Use of traditional high resolution ultrasound in screening has been inhibited by the expense related to time required to capture a meaningful image and the need for very skilled clinicians to operate the equipment.

InnerVision's technology is a paradigm shift that is intended to resolve the issues of x-ray and current ultrasound technology, not only for mammography, but also in screening of prostate cancer.

Flash Ultrasound™

Flash Ultrasound™ is intended to be easily accessible for medical facilities, and easy to use for practitioners who should require only simple technical skill to utilize the equipment.

The Business Model

InnerVision will be a provider of enabling technology to third parties who are well positioned to penetrate the various medical market segments.

Conceptually, the current strategy is as follows:

  • InnerVision will be a "Science" company, in the image processing business;
    • Not the supplier of capital equipment for clinics (no production & manufacturing);
    • Not operating the clinics.
  • Under this technology licensing strategy:
    • Licensees perform the patient interface and own the equipment within the clinic,
    • InnerVision owns & controls data processing and image generation business (small capital investment).
  • The primary sources of InnerVision revenue will be:
    • License Fees/Royalties
    • Image processing revenue.

We believe that ultimate adoption of our technology will be greater by placing much of the roll out of the device and the patient interface in the hands of those with well established production, and distribution and marketing expertise.
