Dr. Jeff Grossman

Dr. Jeff Grossman holds a Ph.D. in Geophysics specializing in Mathematical Seismology from the University of Calgary. In addition, he completed his Master of Science in Pure Mathematics specializing in Operator Algebras, and a Bachelor of Science in Pure Mathematics, with a minor in Applied Mathematics, from the University of Calgary. Prior to joining InnerVision, he has worked as a Civil Engineering Technician at AMEC-AGRA Earth & Environmental and as a tutorial assistant at the University of Calgary. Dr. Grossman has published and presented numerous papers on data processing and imaging and has been awarded research scholarships and academic awards including CREWES assistantship and the University of Calgary Graduate Research Scholarship.

Dr. Jennifer I. Considine

Dr. Jennifer Considine received her Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland. She also holds a Master of Arts in Economics from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Calgary. Dr. Considine has worked under the supervision and guidance of Dr. Gary Becker (Nobel Laureate) at the University of Chicago, and Alex Kemp at the University of Aberdeen. She is currently employed as a Senior Lecturer for the Center for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy. Her previous roles include international and monetary analyst for the U.S. Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, research assistant for the Department of Economics at the University Michigan, an Independent Econometrics and Statistics Consultant for a number of energy companies including ANR Pipeline Company, Engage Energy Canada L.P., Coastal Corporation, and TransCanada Pipeline Company. Her Ph.D. Thesis involved the construction of a large, non-linear dynamic system of difference equations outlining the history and evolution of the Russian oil industry. She is the Chief Editor for Energy Politics and the CEPMLP on-line Journal. Dr. Considine brings over 20 years of senior experience and expertise (in the field of complex non linear systems analysis ) to InnerVison.

John Walmsley

John Walmsley has 17 years of experience developing products and managing their transfer to manufacturing. He held various R&D Engineering roles at Hewlett Packard over a period of six years before moving to JDS Uniphase. He was there for eight years, working as a design engineer and later as product manager for high-power, fibre-optic, laser devices. Since 2005, he has been at StarFish Medical, helping early-stage companies bring their medical products to market. He is currently Product Development Manager at StarFish. John holds a Master of Science in Optoelectronics & Optical Information Processing from Queen’s University Belfast and a Bachelor of Science (with Honours) in Physics from the University of Bristol. John is certified as a Chartered Physicist in the United Kingdom and a Professional Physicist in Canada.

Starfish Medical

StarFish Medical helps medical device companies develop world class products from concept to full market readiness. They are an ISO 13485 certified developer and manufacturer of high technology medical products on contract and in joint ventures. Their 30+ personnel are housed in a 6500 sqft facility in Victoria, BC. The diversified team includes experts in engineering physics, electronics, software, firmware, mechanical engineering and industrial design. In addition they have substantial experience in creating and protecting IP and in medical regulatory affairs.

In their 12 years of business they have completed over 100 projects of all sizes and in many areas of technology. Successful medical device projects include high frequency ultrasound eye imaging devices, various specialty ophthalmic instruments which are sold worldwide, an intravascular ultrasound system, a radiotherapy calibration system, and blood processing robotics. In addition to their experience with medical ultrasound, they have substantial experience in instrumentation system design and integration.
